Western Governors University is a not-for-profit, online university offering bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Education, Business, Information Technology and Health Professions. The mission of WGU is to serve working adults. WGU is regionally and nationally accredited. The WGU Teachers College is endorsed by NCATE, the only online education program to be recognized by NCATE. Under the partnership agreement between SERRC and WGU, all Alaska school district employees are:
1. eligible for a waiver of their application fee
2. eligible for a 5% discount on tuition
3. encouraged to apply for any relevant WGU scholarship.
