Staff Training and Growth

For more than three decades, SERRC has offered a myriad of programs geared toward empowering Alaska's educators to improve student achievement.

SERRC can help districts receiving Title IIA funds train teachers to address the needs of students with different learning styles (i.e. students with disabilities, special learning needs, and/or students with limited English proficiency) as well as improving student behavior in the classroom.

Other professional development services include (but are not limited to) SERRC's Professional Practices Inventory (correlated to Alaska's Teacher Standards and the International Society for Technology in Education Standards) that identifies the professional development needs of your staff via affordable online surveys, and the agency's association with Walden University that offers Alaska's educators a discounted price on tuition for graduate or doctorate degrees in education.
