You earn points as you work on fun learning activities on the computer and other activities in the classroom.

Earn points for reading?
You can earn 1 point each day by reading for 15 minutes. Here are some reading ideas:

  • Buddy Reading – Find a quiet place and sit down with a friend. Take turns reading one or two sentences out loud.
  • SSR – Silent Sustained Reading – Find a quiet place and read to yourself.
  • Reader’s Theater – Practice and perform a Reader’s Theater play for your classmates.

When you have finished reading, let your teacher know that you earned your reading point.

Earn points for writing?
You can earn 1 point each day for writing for 15 minutes. Here are some writing ideas:

  • Write in your journal about your plans for the day.
  • Start a 5-day story that you can add to every day for 5 days.
  • Read your 5-day story and make corrections. Make it your best work.
  • You and a friend can write a math word problem. When you are both done, trade and solve the problems.

When you have finished writing for the day, let your teacher know that you earned your writing point.
